This divisiona ddresses issues relating to accession, wear and friction, the macro-, micro- and nano-scale, of a wide range of materials and coatings, including metal alloys, ceramics and composite materials, even nanostructured. 
The laboratory can support several applications in various fields of Engineering and Materials Science, and is aimed at companies in the metallurgical industry, transport, aerospace, engineering, oil, and SMEs.
