ENERGY SYSTEMS AND POWER GENERATION (ING-IND/09)
The research activity of the team focuses on energy conversion systems, such as power plants, heat and/or refrigeration, and are generally applied and the topics covered include plants, MCI, and advanced types, such as fuel cells. Fuel internal combustion engines, MCI. Theoretical-experimental approaches conventional energy systems, such as turbogas, steam engines, hydroelectric cells, in addition to stationary power generation, are also investigated in traction. For MCIs, for which computational fl uid dynamics are also used, theoretical-experimental studies on the interaction between the design of engine components and the response are carried out with laser-doppler or PIV technique.
